The KMPC series is designed for use in systems and instruments that require a very sensitive, high responsivity LWIR detector: For spectral range beyond 14um, photoconductive HgCdTe is the only detector choice because HgCdTe photodiodes are not available in this range.

Description
The KMPC series is an MCT photoconductive infrared detector available with or without integral amplifiers. The standard package is a side-looking LN2 pour-filled Dewar with an AR coated ZnSe window and 10 hour hold time. Other options are available.
KMPC (without amplifier) The spectral response characteristics are determined by the MCT bandgap selected. The standard spectral ranges are 2-12um , 2-14um , 2-16um , 2-18um and 2-20um . Detector sizes range from 0.05 to 4.0 mm.
KMPCP (with amplifier) The KMPCP detector has an internal 20Hz to 1MHz bandwidth amplifier. The output responsivity at 11um is greater than 5,000 Volts/Watt and D*(peak, 10kHz, 60FOV) is greater than 2 x 1010 Jones for the 1 mm size. |
